The Magic of Fall
There is no doubt right now that we are all feeling the unrest that seems to be everywhere. Unfortunately, we can’t turn back the clock to simpler times…we still have to remember our masks, constantly social distance, and let’s not even talk about watching the news. While it is true that we can’t control the chaos that is going on in the world around us, we can control the way we respond to the chaos.
Right now for most of us, our homes are our safe haven. The place where we don’t have to worry and can feel more carefree. This is the time to focus on making home as cozy as possible, not just because that’s what we do in the Fall, but because home can be healing and we all need that right now. We need to feel less stress, less exhausted and more secure.
I am focusing on home and on my goals going forward and even though it may seem to some that we are regressing as human beings, I continue to believe that this chaos is moving us forward to a better place. There is a reason for everything!
Fall is my favorite season and a time of reflection before the madness of the holiday season starts. I’m using this time to practice self care, which makes me feel so much more creative, AND to get my house in order, which also makes me feel so much more creative.. After a spring of having my daughter and husband home all day long and a summer of being at the beach and working, things have definitely gotten out of hand so now is the time to organize inside and out. Clearing my mind and getting really focused on my goals is a priority and I seem to be able to do that more easily when my home is in order.
So this fall, I’m asking myself a few questions…how do I want to move forward and how do I want to feel. I’m letting this quote guide me
“There is no wrong way to travel your path. Let your heart sing it, let your soul dance it and set your magic free.”
We all have goals and priorities and some are more physically visible (like replanting my pots for fall), and some are more emotional…creating calm, peace, security and choice.
Today, I’m sharing some inspiration to help you create a magical fall. From outdoor pots to satisfying recipes to cozy sweaters, outfit ideas and more! I hope you enjoy!
“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.” ~ Lauren DeStefano

Fall Outdoor Planter Ideas
I found so much inspiration for my fall planters on Pinterest. This weekend, I’m going to the garden market and buying all the fall flowers to make my planters look beautiful again! I find that it helps to take a picture with me, or at least a list of plants that I want to buy. If I just show up with no plan, I always end up buying way too much or the wrong things. Which one is your favorite?
