Elevated Basics

I’ve always loved the combination of camel and grey because it’s just so classic and always works. Most neutrals work really well together and the reason grey and camel look so amazing together is that they're both often presented in similarly soft hues with medium to low intensity.

In this look, I’ve added chocolate brown to the mix with my boots and bag, and as far as I’m concerned chocolate brown is a neutral as well…it's a desaturated, warm tone that blends well with almost any other color…including most bright colors. Here, I think adds a little more contrast and makes the outfit more interesting!

A little jewelry never hurts and so I added a necklace from Jennifer Ponson Designs as well as my normal stack of bracelets. My earrings, believe it or not, are from Amazon and I wear them often!

I mostly shopped my closet for this look which I highly recommend because we all have pieces that don’t get worn enough I would suspect! My jeans are several years old from Citizens of Humanity and I have them in two other washes. They are high waisted and cropped with a straight leg. The coat is from Ulla Johnson and one of my favorites. The crewneck sweater is new from Zara.

This sweater is my favorite find from Amazon! I ordered this color because I have some fabulous Julie Vos turquoise jewelry that’s going to look amazing with it! Come to think of it, the turquoise would look amazing with the outfit in this post but I didn’t have it when the pictures were made…next time!

Happy Sunday! Hopefully, I’ll be able to share some pictures of the bathroom soon…there should be lots of progress this week! Thanks so much for reading!
