It's Finally Here...Christmas Eve!
Happy Christmas Eve! Itβs finally hereβ¦the day before Christmas! I still have some cooking to do for tonight, so most of my day will be spent at home and thatβs just fine with me.
As I walking down the stairs this morning, trying to be very quiet so as not to wake anyone else at 6am, I thought about the many times before that I had walked down the same steps on Christmas Eve, when our girls were small and anxiously anticipating what was to come. Even though our youngest two were tucked into their childhood beds, It was a little bittersweet because there is a part of me that misses those small little girls and the excitement that they brought to the holidays. Now, I have two amazing grandsons that bring excitement and wonder to Christmas. Time goes by quickly, whether we want it to or not, and the most important thing to remember this holiday season is to enjoy every minute with family and friends and create memories that will last a lifetime!
As I was looking back at some pictures, I found this one of Hudson that says it allβ¦the wonder of Christmas for children!
This Christmasβ¦
Give a smile to a stranger who seems to be having a tough day.
Give patience to someone who is dancing on your last nerve.
Give forgiveness to someone who may never have the courage to ask.
Give time to someone who asks for nothing more.
Give kindness to someone who seems to deserve it least.
And remember to share these same gifts with yourself.
Today, I want to take a moment to thank you for all your support, friendship, and kind comments throughout the year. I treasure each and every one of you, and am unbelievably grateful that you take the time to visit my little corner of the internet. Happy Holidays to all!
