To me, body positivity means accepting your body as it is right now and being realistic about the inevitable changes in its shape and size. It’s about your ability to accept nature, aging and the fact that you have made personal choices throughout your lifetime that have brought your body to where it is. It's important to understand that your self worth and what's going on with your body physically are two separate things…that no matter what's happening inside or outside, you're still just as worthwhile as anyone. Self acceptance doesn’t mean not having goals or wanting to better yourself through healthier eating and exercise, it means being able to live in your body as it is right now while striving to be healthier and stronger! This isn’t always easy, especially given our cultures obsession with unrealistic ideals of beauty…it’s a process that must start over again each and every day!
