Now that Thanksgiving is over and I’ve put all the dishes away, it’s time to really get Christmas going! Baldy and I went yesterday and got a perfect Christmas tree and he’s putting the lights on as we speak! We’ll get it decorated today and after that, I’ll feel like the season has begun. We leave for NYC on Saturday and I’m trying my best to get the house decorated and most of my holiday shopping done before we leave. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for some special treasures for the girls (and me), but for the most part, I want to be able to stroll and enjoy this magical time in New York!

Today, I’m sharing a few outfit ideas that I think are perfect for December…it’s not all about the party outfits! I hope you find some inspiration!

I purchased these silver faux leather pants last year from Anthropologie and have worn them so often! They really are pants that can be worn all year long. I actually love them right now paired with a chocolate brown sweater…but for this look, I wore a red plaid blouse from Untuckit, a pair of fabulous silver platforms from Larroudé (Larroudé has THE cutest shoes), my new tote from Quilted Koala and a red sweater thrown over my shoulders. This look would go most anywhere from a holiday lunch to a dressier party. Simply change the shoes to make it more casual!

Since we have to do more than go to parties over the holiday season, I included a few looks featuring Spanx leggings that will take you anywhere! I paired my faux leather leggings with a layered cashmere v-neck pullover from Brochu Walker, fabulous cowboy boots from Freebird (everything is 35% off right now) and an older bag from J.W. Anderson (similar here). I love this easy look for running errands or going out to lunch! It’s chic and comfortable.

My day to day uniform usually consists of a pair of leggings (Spanx makes the best, my favorite sweatshirt from Amazon (I have almost every color), a pair of sneakers (mine are older but love these and these) and a tote from Quilted Koala! These totes are under $100 and make amazing gifts! I never travel without mine…they come in black, silver and gold (also love this belt bag)!

This Air Essentials two piece set from Spanx is so comfortable I can’t even describe it (half zip here, and pants here and comes in lots of colors)! Soft and easy to wear…I paired it with silver sneakers and my black Quilted Koala tote. The tassels are removable but they add a little color and a lot of fun!

I am so excited to wear this plaid sequined dress (mine is sold out but almost identical here)! It’s just the thing for a fun holiday party! I’ve paired it with red Roger Vivier pumps (mine are older but linking similar here) and tights, but if it’s really cold I’ll wear booties for an extra bit of warmth. I would wear a shorter black faux fur jacket over! If this look doesn’t scream Christmas, I don’t know what does!
