You wonβt need a printable recipe for this one because there is only 1 ingredientβ¦Celery! Everywhere I turn lately, Iβm hearing about celery juice. Itβs supposedly the miracle cure for most everything. I guess Iβm a little behind on the latest nutrition crazy because up until now, I thought celery was just a good way to add crunch to chicken salad or even better, a pretty stick used to stir a Bloody Mary! Iβm quickly changing my mind though, because all is takes is a quick Google search to tell you everything you need to know about the health benefits of celery juice. You are going to be amazed!
Celery juice should be consumed immediately upon waking up, on an empty stomach for maximum benefits. You may start to feel the positive changes in as little as seven days after starting your daily celery-juice habit, but you can continue drinking it for as long as you want. You may want to start slowly with six to eight ounces and build up to 16 ounces from there. Also, it is important to use organic celery because the juice is concentrated and you want to have a pure juice.

WHY WOULD YOU NOT DRINK CELERY JUICE?
WHICH IS BETTER - JUICE OR SMOOTHIES
Normally, smoothies are recommended over juice because smoothies retain the fiber in the fruits and veggies which help your body process the sugar slowly. However, celery juice contains very, very little sugar β so this isnβt a concern. As long as you are using celery juice as a supplemental part of your diet, and not a meal replacement, and you are getting plenty of fiber in your regular meals, the lack of fiber isnβt a big deal.
Drinking celery juice allows you to get a potent amount of nutrients all at once and it goes straight to your bloodstream because your body doesnβt have to worry about the fiber..
Iβve included instructions both for making celery juice in a juicer (in the video) and in a blender (keep scrolling). I prefer the juicing method simply because I donβt have to bother straining.
I made a quick video of the process of juicing celery. Iβm new at making my own videos, so bear with me here as I learn, but here you goβ¦
If you are using a blender to make your celery juice, Iβd recommend using a more powerful blender such as a VitaMix, to break down the tough celery fiber. You will also need to strain it with a nut bag, flour sack towel, or a mesh strainer. I prefer a mesh strainer because itβs quicker and much easier to clean.
Iβm off to make my celery juice! What do you think? Will you try drinking celery juice?
