Chicken and Corn Chowder - A Warming Soup

I am such a huge soup lover and this Chicken and Corn Chowder is a great recipe to have on hand for the coming months!  It's easy to make and a real crowd pleaser.  A classic base of celery, onions and carrots with the addition of corn, chicken, sweet potatoes and yukon gold potatoes is nutritious and delicious.  Corn chowder really should be made in the summer when corn is at it's best, but somehow a steaming bowl of soup in the summer isn't what I want.  I love corn chowder in the fall when the weather is cool and a steaming bowl of soup is comforting.  This soup uses both canned and frozen corn so it can be made any time of the year, but I think you'll agree that soup is best in the fall and winter!  Keep scrolling down for the printable recipe and follow me on Instagram @crazyblondelifeblog.

Chicken and Corn Chowder starts with onions, carrots and celery sautéed in bacon drippings for a flavorful base.  Be sure to use local bacon if possible because the flavor is better and the bacon is healthier for you and the planet.
